We had a great Easter. They are getting better every year because Corbin is getting into it more each year. This year, we tried to prep him with Max & Ruby Easter episodes & talking about it; however, he never acted interested. But when we told him to go out into the yard & look for Easter eggs, he understood the objective & got to work!
The Easter Bunny left each of our little boys a special Easter basket. Corbin got toys, crafts & candy. The twins got solid foods in their baskets, in honor of them starting solid foods on Easter Sunday.
Corbin dug into his basket after breakfast.
Before our egg hunt, the babies tried mama-made pears for the first time. I thought they'd be into it, but they weren't really. Jamie made the most faces.
You can see they wore their special Easter bibs from Grandma KK. Thanks, Grandma! They just tried mama-made rice cereal today for the first time & that went over much better than the pears.
When we went outside, we discovered that a bird had pecked through one of the plastic eggs & then discarded it. It was so strange to see that!
The grass was still dewy, the sun was bright & the air was cool. We set the babies out on a quilt while Corbin hunted for the eggs.
There's one!
One on the baseball tee!
Let's put it in the basket!
Found it!
Last one!
At this point, he asked, "What's next?"
We counted all of them. I think there were 10.
What's in the egg, Corbin?
Taking a little bite to check it out...
"Mmmm... now this kind of egg I like!"
Then it was time to get ready to go to Grandma Mary & Grandpa Miller's condo for Easter Dinner. This is what I made:
He was playing with one of his chocolate bunnies & making it dance.
A little taste
Poor bunny...
Daddy and Jamie at the condo. Unfortunately, when Cameron was awake, I forgot to take pictures. When I remembered to take them, he was already asleep. I didn't get my photo taken, nor did my mom, who was slaving away in the kitchen. Oh well. I will try to be more mindful of these things.
Corbin got these bunny glasses in his basket from the Grandparents. Jameson got to try them on for size.
After a very yummy & trimmed-down healthier Easter dinner, Corbin played outside in the courtyard.
Love this picture
He kept saying, "Pizza! Where? It's far away!" Whatever that meant!
While he was running with Amie, he kept yelling, "Stop Corwent!(Corbin)"
Telling Uncle Mike a story
Little Jamie started to get tired. We dressed everyone in their PJ's & left for home. It was a very good day.
IN OTHER NEWS, tomorrow celebrates the one year anniversary of the day we saw not one, but two healthy heartbeats!

These are great pics!
ReplyDeleteDoes Corbin watch The Backyardigans?
I ask because when I read his Pizza comments it reminded me of the Chichen Itza Pizza episode for some reason and I thought maybe that is where he got the idea.
YES, Angie! In fact, we have that episode on a DVD that he recently watched. I never paid much attention to the episode, but that must be it! Thanks! lol
