September has really flown by. The babies are getting so big & they are demanding a lot more of our time lately... literally. They crawl all over us & demand to be played with and held. They had their 9 month appointments a little late, so here are their 11 month stats:
Cameron is 17# 15 oz (3rd percentile for weight), 28 3/4" long, and has a head circumference of 18 3/4" (huge head). Unfortunately, the doctor did find a pretty significant heart murmur, so we have bee referred to a pediatric cardiologist. His appointment is mid October & hopefully, it's just benign.
He did give us another interesting talking point about a week ago, when I thought I had discovered another tooth growing between his top front ones.
I looked in his mouth today, and I didn't see it! So, it must have been a cut or something. We had made an appointment with his pediatric dentist, and I am just going to keep that appointment because his teeth are coming in parallel to each other & not at the correct angle.
Cam is also finally trying to stand independently, as of this week.
Jameson is 20# 8 oz (25-50th percentile), 29" long, and has a head circumference of 18 3/4". He is working on walking & has been taking steps. He gets too excited after about 2-3 steps, and then he just lunges. But he really has the balance down.
He really has a sense of humor & tries to make us laugh (and succeeds). He has a funny head bop sometimes when he crawls & he is so proud of his new trick- "Sooo big!"
We took the kids tailgating on the 18th for the OU game. We got there at 6:15 AM & we had really overpacked. I found out that it truly is the key to succeeding with children at a tailgate. We brought everything but the kitchen sink!
Corbin enjoying some breakfast. After I saw these pictures, I switched him over to 3T pants. 2T are too short!
Our set-up got so many compliments! We had other babies come visit us, too.
"Let us out!"
Corbin had a blast playing with the other 2-3 year olds at the tailgate
"Yep, this is my cos' "
We were very excited to see Gordon Gee at the tailgate again. I was in my third trimester with Corbin when I met him the first time & had our picture taken with him. So it was nice that it has come full-circle now.
The next day, we went to Pigeon Roost Farm to kick off our fall. Little did we know that it would get into the 80's before we left. We were all roasting! But we still had fun & bought some fun fall decorations afterward to get in the mood for cooler weather.
When we first walked in, I made the boys pose for the pumpkin pics. Every fall needs a pumpkin pic! Those sweaters quickly came off.

Daddy is so talented that he can carry two babies on his back!
Chasing the bunnies
Some random silliness:
We bought Corbin a stuffed Brutus in honor of football season & one of his favorite books, Hello Brutus. Corbin is a fan of anything Buckeye (not that he's been brainwashed or anything).

Hey, where's the lenscap at? Have you seen it?

Last Weekend at the Lake & Visitors
This posting is sort of a hodge-podge of things, since I haven't updated in a while.
Jamie has been standing on his own for a while now. He lasts only a few seconds each time, but he's really getting his feel for balance.
Here's a cute pic of Cam & his bed-head. He's the only kid we'll have with hair as a baby. It's adorable (although we love our bald babies, too)!
Two weekends ago was our last weekend at the lake. We have photos of Corbin driving the float-boat from his first summer at the lake, so we thought we would capture the twins, too.
The babies are eating more and more real table foods. I will admit that Cameron is pickier than Jamie. He reminds me of Corbin- prefering the smoother textures; however, Corbin liked to feed himself. Cam knows how, and he WILL- if we give him a lot of time. Jamie just digs right in, though.
Here are a couple of cute pics of Corbin from our last weekend of the summer at the lake.
It was great-grandpa Montgomery's 88th birthday celebration. Happy birthday grandpa!
Switching gears a little bit, this past weekend, we had houseguests from Tennessee. It was a spur of the moment thing, but it turned out fantastically. J and I have known each other for over 3 years & we met on a birthboard with our firstborns. I remember when she went to the ultrasound to find out if her baby was a boy or a girl & she stopped at Steak n Shake afterward. I mean, you really get to know someone after talking nearly every day for 3 years.
I had a race planned for this weekend, but she was cool with just running it with me- a half marathon! Of course, she does run as a hobby just like I do, but that still takes some guts. It was great to meet her and her family. Here are some photos from our visit.
Her daughter, E, was a little mother. She loved feeding, hugging and kissing the babies.
Here is Corbin and her daughter, B. They were so cute together!
We spent some time in German village. Here are our hubbies with our first babies!
We ate the buffet at Schmidt's. Thankfully, it was nice and loud in there, and we didn't have to wait to get food. I had one of the large beers & Cam thought he'd help me out.
The race was on Sunday & it was earrrrly and brisk. We warmed up with some Tim Horton's coffee before we ran. This was us, pre-race:
and here we are, post-race. We didn't know our hubbies were coming to the finish line, so they surprised us. We crossed the finish line at 2:20:55.
A very fun weekend indeed & I can't wait to see them again in November, when we travel to Nashville for another meet-up.
