Nashville Trip

We had so much fun visiting family and friends in Nashville. It is such a fun city & a great place for kids. We really enjoyed ourselves & can't wait to visit again.

When we got into town Friday night, we gave Dawn an impromtu call & invited ourselves over- lol. Thankfully, she & the girls were free- Barry was hunting. Deane', Uncle Bud and Aunt Carolyn also came by. We had a great time visiting, eating Chick Fil A & the richest, yummiest chocolate cake ever. I couldn't believe that I forgot to bring my camera over, but Dawn took a few pics while we were there.

The next morning, we got up early because we were used to EST, so we were able to get a little bit of sight-seeing in before our planned meet-up at a local pizza joint. Dawn had recommended the Adventure Science Center, which was so age-appropriate for Corbin. He had a blast!

Corbin absolutely loved this water table representing the circulatory system. It was hard to drag him away!

The rest of the science museum was fun, too. What kid could resist the small intestine/colon slide, complete with fart noises?

We toured Nashville from the minivan- cool downtown area! Then we met up with family at Pie in the Sky pizzeria for a get-together lunch. We tried to dway Corbin into playing with some pizza dough, but he mostly wanted to practice writing with crayons and paper. What a fun place, though! Good pizza, too. Nice crust and what must have been 100% mozzarella cheese.

After lunch, my aunt and uncle gave us a mini tour of downtown Franklin- also very beautiful. Then we went back to the hotel (and had a puking incident along the way. Fun times.) to meet up with J & her daughters. Once again, I forgot to take pics of them- but Corbin had a blast running around the hotel lobby with B. They are old buds now.

On Sunday morning, we all headed to the Nashville Zoo to meet up with another friend of ours, C, her husband, D, and their sons.

What a gorgeous jungle gym this zoo had! And it was not crowded at all, especially for the first couple of hours that we were there. They really put some money into this jungle gym.

Corbin just adored C- he tried to shower him with hugs at every opportunity.

Here are 3 December '07 Mommies & their KAK's :)

Too bad C lives so far away- they would be great friends!

We hope to see everyone again, soon!
