Planting the Seeds of Potty Training

Jamie has been peeing on the potty when I think to put him on it for a few weeks now. I'll be honest, it's really just a lack of effort on my part. I think he could get it pretty easily. He knows when he's peeing and looooooooves to sit on the potty and go. If I let him, he would sit there all day. But this summer has been so busy! We've had occupational therapy on Mondays and Fridays, Speech Therapy on Tuesdays, and Skillbuilders at the YMCA on Wednesdays. Busy, busy, busy! So I am thinking that maybe we will start potty training "for real" after the holidays, in early 2012. Cam, of course, just follows along & thinks it's fun. Hopefully, he will still think it's fun when it's go-time.

Fourth of August Post About the Fourth of July

Time just gets away from me. I am so far behind on blogging our summer.

Fourth of July weekend was fun. Corbin is like a fish. He just loves the water- even the lake. His Puddle Jumpers really give him confidence to try to kick his legs and move his arms. He even does really well with walking on the floor of the lake. Daddy just loves splashing around with him. We borrowed neighbor Steve's white foam pad. Corbin loves it!

The neighbors on the other side have a water trampoline. Corbin loves to go play on it with Daddy and the neighbors.

On the 3rd of July, Devils Lake had their 4th of July celebration. Jon and I watched the fireworks on the lake. They were beautiful & the boys all stayed asleep. We were total party poopers with the boys. They were very off schedule all day & they really needed to go to bed early/on time or they wouldn't have enjoyed it anyway. Plus, Cam is pretty sensitive to noise, so I don't think he would have enjoyed it anyway. Maybe next year.

The babies had a crazy afternoon on the 4th of July. They were given free reign of this plastic picnic table and some chalk.

Corbin loves that water. When he saw a volleyball game in progress, he kept inching closer and closer to the water.
