A Bunch of Holidays All Wrapped Up in One

We started out the weekend making coney sauce for the annual Haute Dog Festival. Dad taught us the secret recipe & how to execute it.

Apparently, it came out well. I couldn't stay to see because it takes quite a few hours to cook down. Can't wait to try it!

The kids were entertained in the meantime, and we got some good shots as usual.

We "surprised" Jon's Dad with a 60th birthday celebration. That is supposed to be in quotes, yes, because we are fairly certain that he was on to it.

It was a fun party! We had a ton of food leftover that will feed us for many weekends at the lake this summer. It was good to see everyone. It kicks off our summer of travel. After Memorial Day, we will be going to the reunion & many weekends at the lake. Of course, we also have the Slagle trip & Jamaica thrown in there, too. Busy, busy!

After a Mother's Day brunch at the club (at which the boys were all very well behaved), we had a small birthday celebration for my upcoming birthday. I'm very excited to buy some nice running shoes soon with my birthday money, and of course, I can't wait (but I WILL) to open my P90X on Friday :)
