The twins turned 7 months old on Tuesday. Here are their 7 month Boppy shots:
Cameron is not yet sitting up. In fact, he twists and turns every time we practice. He does roll all around the room, though, and is good at getting at his target(s). The milestone average is 6 months, but the range is 5-9 months & they were slightly premature, so I am not worried. He does have eczema, so I am hoping he doesn't have any food allergies. He really loves to eat & will get so excited once he sees a bib or any other clue that a meal might be coming his way. He still has not sprouted any more teeth since he was 10 weeks old, but there are some definitely on their way in (the top 2 and one on the bottom.)
Jameson is also not sitting up, but he can sit independently for about 10 seconds by himself. He's close. His appetite for the bottle is monstrous. In fact, he would really prefer a larger bottle. The other day, he rolled over to the one I had prepared for Cam, stole it, and drank it for himself. Both babies feed themselves if I need them too, but Cam still drops it every once in a while. Jamie is a pro at it. He got his fifth tooth on Mother's day on the top.The next day, the sixth (on the top) came in, too. Now, 2 more on the bottom are soon to pop through. He is a teething machine!
Corbin is starting to say more complex (3-4 word) sentences appropriately. His speech is becoming a little more understandable to strangers, too. He sings many songs by heart. He is enjoying his storytime each night, as we started incorporating a larger number of books into the routine, and new ones from the library at that. Many have quickly become new favorites, like the "If You Give a ____ a _____" series. He is still very into the alphabet and numbers.
He started to trace letters last night with the Leapfrog Scribble pad. We are so proud of him trying this out! The next step will be to encourage him to draw letters with his crayons and paper.
All of the boys have had colds since the 13th. Corbin's cold is pretty much gone, but the twins still have a lot of drainage. I just hope it doesn't settle into their ears of chests. Fingers crossed.
Last Saturday, we walked in the Race for the Cure together in honor of my mom, who has been cancer-free for 4 years now! I wore Jamie & pushed Cam & Corbin. All of the boys were very good & the twins slept most of the time. There were such huge crowds that the fastest pace we could do was 30 minute miles! Oh well- it was for a great cause!
