Developmental Updates

The boys are growing so fast! I love that Corbin posed for me in this St. Patty's Day picture. He's getting so much better in front of a camera.

Jamie is saying maybe 10 words. He doesn't articulate well yet, but I can understand him. And he says "yes" with all of his body. He shakes his whole body in the affirmative while saying, "Ya!"

I think he has all of his teeth in except for his two year molars.

He is still trouble. He looks for a way to instigate or push our buttons & then he does it.

He's probably 24 pounds-ish. He still has an incredibly sweet side. When we pick him up, he pats us on the back like he's reassuring us. He gives great hugs and kisses. But then he will bolt out of the bathroom naked and giggling down the hall at the most inopportune time. What a pistol!

Cameron has a few less words than Jamie does, but he is definitely going to be a talker! He babbles on and on about things. The other day, he had a Thomas the Tank Engine block at the kitchen table and he was pointing at it & talking on and on about it. He would look up at me every few seconds and establish eye contact. It was as if he was saying, "You know what I mean, Mom?"

He is probably about 21 pounds and has almost all of his teeth, except for his two year molars.

He is super sweet. He loves to hug his brothers and he is a number one cuddler.

He thinks that he is entitled to everything that mommy is eating. As soon as he sees me come into the room, he opens his mouth wide and juts his chin out.

He's also a big pointer and grunter. He thinks he wants everything! He definitely has the curiosity bug.

Corbin is doing great. He is potty learning this week. He is about 50/50 right now, but without initiation. We've been told that he is physically ready to potty train, but he doesn't tell us when he has to go. He can control it, though. I think both yesterday and today, he went 5 times on the potty and had between 5 and 8 accidents. I stocked up on undies today & have done a lot of laundry :)

Corbin is about 32 pounds and has recently started to try new foods. He still won't add any new foods to his repertoire, but he has tasted quite a few new foods.

He has gotten a lot better at initiating social interaction with others. Today, the plumber was here and he said both "hi" and "bye" to him without prompting. Likewise, when we were out on the deck, he saw two neighbors and greeted them.

He also did some pretend play in the bathtub tonight with some plastic toys. I started it & he continued on with it. He didn't hardly even touch the alphabet letters in the tub tonight.

We have started looking into the pubic preschool program for him. Today, he asked if friends could come over. We've all been sick, so I had to say no, but I was so glad that he asked. I can't wait for him to get into a program this fall. I really think that he's going to love it.

The other day, Corbin came into the room carrying (and/or wearing) some of the Easter decorations that I put out. So cute!

Here are a couple of pics from a peek-a-boo game that Corbin was playing.

We also had a nice dinner the other night at my parents' condo. We had a yummy and strange menagerie of food- Max & Erma's tortilla soup, yakisoba and Japanese curry! But it was delicious & we all had a good time!
