Friends, The Gym & Sleep Update

Sleep has been harder lately. We have weaned the twins off of the swings for naps. They are on scheduled naps (sort of) & they sleep in their cribs. The first two days (Wednesday & Thursday) were golden. They went down @ 9, 12 & 3 like clockwork. Then Friday was hellish. No one would nap for more than 30 minutes at a time & this carried over into more frequent night-wakings, too. I think we were both up twice that night. Then the next couple of nights were fair. Last night was pretty good. Jon got to sleep through & I was up once. Then today, they slept great for naps. So, I think we are making progress. Cameron can be put into bed sleepy, but awake & he goes down without a fuss.

They may have had some sleep issues because we are using more formula because of time constraints. We also recently switched them over from hypoallergenic formula to the "Gentle" kind. The pediatrician said we could switch them off of the expensive stuff after they were a few months old. We're definitely had to use more simethicone (gas drops) with them for an upset tummy. But I think they are adjusting okay now.

Here are a couple of pictures of the twin cuties...

Corbin, of course, is the champion sleeper. The other morning, I had to wake him up at 10 because I was afraid it was going to screw up the whole day.

We had some friends over last weekend. He got to see Emma again. It's been a year since they have been together. They sure have grown up a lot in the past year. Jon caught a couple of pictures of them playing with puzzles together.

Corbin's friend, Mason, turned the big ONE this past weekend, so Corbin was invited to celebrate at the Little Gym. He hadn't napped that day, since the party was at naptime. Generally, he does well with no nap, but that day, he spazzed out. It was great that he could burn the energy while running around the gym, but when it came time to sit down & eat pizza, he couldn't sit still. Come to think of it, that was the day before he slept until 10- he must have been exhausted!
