Unfortunately, once again, time has slipped away from me. This was such a busy summer for us. We got a few trips to the lake in and the boys really enjoyed themselves. It just gets better every year for them. It just dawned on me that this was probably the last year that we will have to haul those pack n plays up north, as we plan to transition them to toddler beds around 2 1/2 years old. I'd like to say that this was our last year for the gate system, but maybe one more year of containment is in order. More peace of mind for us, at least. Here are some of our lake pics from this year to put in the ol' annual blog book.
Jamie played this little game with Grandma where he would balance things on his head. Most of the time, it was just coasters. I swear, our children just love coasters. Maybe because we don't have any & they're new to them? They love 'em.
He also gave grandma's glasses a try. Every time I look at this pic, I think that it's Cam at first.
We gave sitting in lawn chairs in the water a shot. It was also the first year that the babies were allowed to wade in the lake.
Corbin got to fly a kite this year!
Ashlynn came to visit the cabin during one weekend that we were there.
Great Grandma and Cam. You don't see as many pics of Jamie being held because Jamie is Mr. Independent and Cam begs at everyone's feet to be picked up.
More cuteness
Neighbor Steve!
Brotherly love
Our last drive to the lake this season
We got there in time for sunset on Friday night.
Our infamous set-up
Xander was at the lake! He's usually boarded, but the boys weren't around him much and he was outdoors, so no one's allergies were really affected much.
More pics!
Jamie is such a cut-up. He is always trying to make us laugh.
I had been playing around with my camera so much on the way up north (I'm trying to learn how to use it in manual mode with manual focus) that the battery died. So, I didn't get many pics from our last trip up this year. But both Jamie and Corbin enjoyed getting in the neighbor's kayak and rowing around in the water for a bit under our supervision.
